We've been adopted!!

Lucky us...a stray cat in our area decided that we would make a good foster home! So... we've been adopted by Rascal! So far he's the perfect pet... he even let's us know when he needs to go outside to "take care of business". What more can foster parents ask for?

Sempai Connor

Another belt test... At this point, Connor thought he was testing for an Advanced Green Belt. Mom and Dad knew he was going for brown, but Connor didn't.

Wow! Was Connor ever surprised when they presented him with a Brown Belt!
Congratulations, Sempai Connor!

Christmas 2009

We had a very Merry Christmas!

Here's Tom keeping track of all the money I've spent... Tigger's helping.

Buster in his Christmas finery

"Meowy Christmas!"

Buster loves lighted packages as much as I do!

A visit to see Santa...

And a ride on the train... All aboard!

I think the kittens enjoyed Christmas as much as we did...

I love my mouse, Gigi! Thanks!

I wonder what it could be?

"All I want for Christmas is....an iPod Touch!"

Self portrait
Parents want a group picture...kids want presents!

Do you need a diaper, baby?

All Gigi wanted for Christmas was a picture of her grandbabies... next year, we'll have to make room for one more!

Merry Christmas everyone!

DARE Graduation

Every 5th grader in Robertson County goes through the D.A.R.E program. (DARE stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education).

Congratulations Connor!

Connor's Christmas Concerts

Connor sings with the Spirit of Woodall Choir. This year, they were selected to sing as part of the White House Lighting of the City Tree Celebration. Despite the freezing temperatures, these kids warmed hearts with their joyful songs!

The concert for families a week or so later (and indoors) was just as enjoyable!

Briley meets Tigger

The day we brought Buster home, Briley came to visit. She absolutely loved both kittens, but since Buster was still getting used to his new home, she was happy to play with Tigger.

Briley, will you hurry back to Auntie Mel's to play with "Tigga" and "Muster"?

Welcome home Buster!!

When we decided to adopt kittens, we had to make sure we found the perfect kittens for both boys. Both kittens are very close in age, but we couldn't adopt either of them until they were at least 2 pounds and finished with their shots.
Here's Devin meeting Buster for the first time! At this point, he wasn't quite up to the required two pounds, so we had to wait another week before we brought him home.
I think he was definitely worth the wait!
Welcome home, Buster!!

Devin's Orange Belt Test

December is always a busy month for us. Within the first weekend, Devin received his orange belt, we adopted Buster, participated in the parade (which we forgot the camera) and had the first of two Christmas concerts.
Belt tests are always a big deal! "High block...one, two...Black Belt!!"
The kids must show proficiency in basic drills, self defense moves and the forms and sets for their rank.
Congratulations Devin!!! We're so proud of you!
